Who We Are

A church for the whole city

Twelve people, one living room, and a conviction that nobody should stand alone. This is our story.

Our Story

It started with twelve chairs

In the spring of 2009, twelve friends began meeting in a living room on Willow Bend Road with a single conviction: Maplewood needed a church where anybody could walk through the door and feel genuinely welcome — no background check, no dress code, no pretending.

Word travelled the way it always does — a neighbor invited to lunch, a coworker carried through a hard season, a family that finally found somewhere their kids begged to return to. Living room became rented school cafeteria; cafeteria became the building we now call home at 212 Willow Bend Road.

Today Gracewell Congregation Consulting is a community of hundreds, gathering every Sunday at 8:30 and 10:30 AM. The rooms got bigger, but the heart never changed: teach the Bible honestly, love our neighbors practically, and believe that real community changes everything.

What We Believe

Three convictions shape everything

The Bible, taught honestly

We preach through books of the Bible, verse by verse — asking hard questions, resisting easy answers, and always pointing to Jesus.

Neighbors, loved practically

Faith that stays inside our walls isn't faith at all. We serve schools, shelters, and streets across Maplewood every single month.

Belonging, before believing

You don't have to agree with us to sit with us. Doubters, seekers, and skeptics get the same seat of honor as saints.

Leadership

Shepherds, not celebrities

Our pastors teach, counsel, and show up — in hospitals, living rooms, and lunch lines.

Jonathan Reyes

Lead Pastor

Jonathan planted Gracewell in 2009 with his wife Maria. He preaches most Sundays and still drinks coffee with anyone who asks.

Priya Natarajan

Pastor of Worship & Arts

Priya leads our worship teams and choirs, shaping gatherings where every voice — trained or not — can sing.

Marcus Bell

Pastor of Care & Groups

Marcus oversees small groups, prayer, and pastoral care — the quiet work of walking with people through everything.
